Why this site exists

Because the gap between "AI is everywhere in the news" and "AI is doing something useful in my actual life" is much smaller than most people think — and almost nobody is showing regular folks how to cross it.

The short version

I kept watching two things happen at once. Friends and family assumed AI was either scary, overhyped, or "for programmers." Meanwhile, ordinary people — with no technical background — were quietly using it to make sense of confusing paperwork, build games for their kids, plan trips, and untangle bureaucracy. Those two groups just weren't talking to each other.

This site is the introduction. Real stories on the front page, so you can see what's actually possible. A getting-started guide that assumes nothing and costs nothing. And a friendly community for when you want company on the way.

Who it's for (and not for)

It's for the curious-but-cautious: people who suspect there might be something useful here but don't want to wade through hype, jargon, or doom. If you can write an email, you're qualified for everything on this site.

It's not a site for AI power users — there are plenty of excellent deeply-technical resources out there already. And it's unapologetically optimistic: thoughtful about the rough edges, but here to show you what's working, not to relitigate every AI debate on the internet.

Who I am

Adam, smiling in the sunshine on a ship deck

I'm Adam, a longtime passionate geek but non-coder. I've been using AI for personal and work research for ages, but only began using AI to make fun stuff in July 2026 — and now I'm eager to encourage and enable others to dive in!

When I'm not geeking out, I'm often playing piano or singing or working out to offset the number of hours I'm sitting in an office chair :).

Feedback, corrections, ideas

This site gets better with your input. Spotted something confusing? Think a guide could be friendlier? Find me on Threads at @thatadamguy, or email me at adam at — you guessed it — this very domain. And if you have an AI win of your own, share it here — it might become a card on the front page.
